BolognaFiere Spa – together with BolognaFiere Group companies Cosmoprof, Henoto and Wydex – has obtained Gender Equality Certification, attesting to its concrete commitment to promoting fairness and equality between men and women employees and in its business processes.
Issued by Uniter Spa on the basis of UNI/PdR 125:2022 guidelines, the certification confirms BolognaFiere’s focus on fostering diversity and inclusion and developing corporate policies to guarantee all employees equal opportunities at all professional levels. This milestone achievement comes within the framework of the Company’s broader sustainability and corporate social responsibility commitment.
Concrete action towards gender equality
Supported by the Italian Business Association, Confcommercio Ascom Bologna, BolognaFiere has taken concrete steps to promote the presence of women in the Company and also ensure a good work/life balance for all employees.
Initiatives include ad hoc training programs, advanced corporate welfare policies and the introduction of monitoring tools to measure gender equality progress.
“This Gender Equality Certification signals the fundamental step forward as we build a more inclusive and equal-opportunity workplace,” said Rosa Grimaldi, BolognaFiere Vice President. “We are proud of this landmark achievement. It confirms our resolve to be a benchmark in the trade fair industry also for our attention to the values of inclusion and diversity. Obtaining Gender Equality Certification is not a point of arrival, however, rather an incentive to continuously improve our Company policies and make BolognaFiere an example of innovation and responsibility.”
“BolognaFiere’s achievement of Gender Equality Certification is a significant milestone on the path towards greater equity and inclusion in the world of work. Confcommercio Ascom Bologna is delighted to have been able to provide BolognaFiere with advice during this important process, further confirming and strengthening our own commitment to sustainability, gender equality, and ESG principles,” said Enrico Postacchini, Confcommercio Ascom Bologna President.
With this gender-equality acknowledgement, BolognaFiere has placed itself among the most virtuous organizations of the trade fair sector, further strengthening its role as a best-practices promoter in the areas of social sustainability and corporate governance.
